Why come to the tasting sessions in our wine cellar at Sant’Anna d’Alfaedo?

To discover and explore wonderful food, or to take a trip with us among flavours and combinations: an experience to try! Since the very beginning, Benedetti has had close ties with its location. We’ve always been here and nowhere else, and here you’ll find us ready to show you what we do and how we do it. And to let you taste it, of course.

In our boutique you can choose from a rich array of food products: salamis, soppressata, lardo, salt-cured beef, selected cuts of meat for your kitchen, fresh and mature cheeses, either pure or conditioned with herbs, fruit or Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG. And there’s more: fruit jams, preserves, pickled vegetables, unusual jellies made with local wines, chutneys to enhance the flavours of cheeses and many other local products.

If you’re looking for an all-round experience of what Benedetti products are all about, we offer tasting sessions in our wine cellar, with guided tours. Our staff are at your disposal to guide you on a journey through years of history and work in the service of taste, explain the steps in the various production processes, and tell you how to get the best from a product and the combinations that bring out its best flavours.

In the peaceful surroundings of our curing rooms, among the aromas of fantastic meat products, you’ll enjoy an extraordinary gastronomic experience.

WHAT WE SERVE

The tasting includes:

  • 5 cured meats
  • 5 cheeses
  • 2 accompaniments
  • Beef Carne Salà with Grana Padano DOP and extra virgin olive oil
  • Bread

Chosen by our staff from our range of fresh and cured products and those conditioned with herbs or Amarone.

THE WINES

The tasting includes:

  • Wine of Valpolicella
  • Sparkling and still water

Different wines may also be opened. In this case the price of the bottle will be billed separately.

Extra wines can be chosen from the extensive selection available in our store.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

The experience lasts approximately 1 hour and includes a visit to the cheese curing rooms and a tour of the premises, if the visitors wish.
Tasting sessions are available from Tuesday to Sunday between 8:00 and 12:00 and between 15:00 and 18:00.

Booking essential.
The experience costs €15 per person.

The session always includes a visit to the firm’s curing rooms if visitors wish, with explanation in Italian or English of the history of the firm and the premises.

The tasting includes your choice of the following:

  • Bean and smoked guanciale soup
  • Cream of lentils with diced speck
  • Culatello cotto with brown stock and honey
  • Onion soup with Monte Veronese DOP cheese
  • Polenta with pickled herrings
  • Rice salad (in summer)

THE WINES

The tasting includes:

  • Wine of Valpolicella
